The founder of the museum, Kantarcı, stated that he became interested in antique works while doing academic studies after university and said that he created the collection with more than 10 thousand perfume bottles he collected from different countries in the last 35 years. Bekir Kantarcı underlined that they explained the history of scent and scent raw materials to the visitors with examples, "The Ottoman period from perfumery to the present day, "We tried to reflect the interesting scent studies of the Republic period , the late Ottoman period, Ottoman palace perfumery and all this process here with historical information. Of course, we also went through a 3-year academic process while doing this. We compiled information from our expert professors and source works, and wrote English and Turkish texts," he said.

Kantarcı underlined that establishing a museum requires serious effort and a long process, and stated that they continue to develop the museum and complete the deficiencies.
The first local perfume and cologne producer in the Ottoman Empire Kantarcı added that the distillation equipment from Ahmet Faruki 's workshop and the perfume and cologne bottles from Hasan Şevki, one of the first perfumers of the Ottoman Empire, can be seen in the museum, and that Beykoz-made fragrance bottles from the 1800s are also exhibited in the museum.
Museum, In addition to informing its visitors about the history of perfume art, old-fashioned production methods, original raw materials, fragrance families, characteristics and varieties, it also aims to introduce iconic periods and fragrances in history to new generations through its perfume collections.
